Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all orders placed with Scientific Lab UK Ltd ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to be bound by them.

1. Orders & acceptance

An order is an offer to buy. A binding contract forms only when we issue an order confirmation by email. We may decline orders for reasons including stock unavailability, pricing errors or compliance checks.

2. Pricing & VAT

Prices on the site are quoted excluding VAT unless stated otherwise. UK VAT at the prevailing rate is added at checkout. We reserve the right to correct manifest pricing errors before dispatch.

3. Payment

Payment is accepted by credit/debit card, BACS, or — for approved institutional accounts — purchase order on net 30 terms. Late payments accrue statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.

4. Delivery

Stocked items are dispatched same working day on orders confirmed before 16:00. Delivery dates are estimates; we are not liable for losses caused by carrier delay outside our control. Risk passes on delivery; title passes on full payment.

5. Hazardous goods

Orders for controlled chemicals, precursor substances or radioactive items require end-user verification documentation. We will contact you for these prior to dispatch.

6. Warranty

Equipment is supplied under the manufacturer's warranty. We will support warranty claims on your behalf. Consumables are warranted free from defects on delivery; any concern must be reported within 14 days. See our warranty page for full details.

7. Returns

Subject to our Returns Policy. Special-order, custom-configured or hazardous items are non-returnable except for defect.

8. Liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss to the extent permitted by law. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
